"I have been trying to get rid of this baby ever since I first found out that I was pregnant. I have done coke, a LOT of coke, to try & miscarry. But, here I am, still pregnant at 6 months. When I turned the corner & saw you standing there in front of the clinic I started bawling my eyes out. I know that this is wrong. I have always known it. God hasn't let me kill this baby, even with all that Ihave done to get rid of it. And now, YOU are here. This is the last straw. I can't do it!"
~ Amber
Amber broke down hysterically crying. I told her all about open adoption & gave her the brochure for 'A Chosen Child' adoption agency. I prayed over Amber & her infant. We wept together & I called a local birthmother counselor friend of mine. Amber drove straight over to the adoption agency. She chose a nice Christian couple to be her baby's mommy & daddy. Amber received strong emotional support & financial assistance throughout her pregnancy from the adoption agency. The birthmother counselor let me know when Amber's little girl was placed into the arms of her very excited & grateful adoptive parents.
I love remembering the mothers who turned away from killing their babies. And, it is always a blessing when they are willing to make the difficult, painful choice of picking a wonderful adoptive family for their infant.
Tomorrow morning we go to the killing place. Recalling Amber & her baby girl has given me fresh courage & confidence in the sovereign & goodness of God. The Lord Jesus uses us when we are willing to go out on the deep waters in His Name Of this I am sure, for the Savior has proved Himself over & over & over
