The Fountain of Blood
There is a fountain
filled with blood
drawn from Emmanuel’s veins;
And sinners plunged
beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains.
The dying thief
rejoiced to see
that fountain in his day;
And there have I,
though vile as he,
washed all my sins away.
Dear dying Lamb,
Thy precious blood
shall never lose its power
Till all the ransomed church of God
be saved, to sin no more.
E'er since by faith
I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply
Redeeming love
has been my theme
And shall be till I die
When this poor lisping,
stammering tongue
lies silent in the grave.
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save,
Lord, I believe Thou hast prepared,
unworthy though I be,
For me a Blood-bought free reward,
a golden harp for me!
’Tis strung and tuned for endless years,
and formed by power divine,
To sound in God the Father’s ears
no other Name but Thine.

~ There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood
by William Cowper
But now the righteousness of God ...
through faith in Jesus Christ,
to all
and on all
who believe..
for ...
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood,
through faith,
to demonstrate His righteousness...
that He might be Just
and the Justifier
of the one
who has faith
in Jesus.
...
Therefore,
having been justified by faith,
we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have access
by faith
into this grace in which we stand,
and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
And not only that,
but we also glory in tribulations,
knowing that tribulation
produces perseverance;
and perseverance,
character;
and character,
hope.
Now hope
does not disappoint,
because the love of God
has been poured out in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
For when we were still without strength,
in due time
Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man
will one die;
yet perhaps for a good man
someone would even dare to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Much more then,
having now been justified
by His blood,
we shall be saved from wrath
through Him.
For if when we were enemies
we were reconciled to God
through the death of His Son,
much more,
having been reconciled,
we shall be saved
by His life.
And not only that,
but we also rejoice in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now
received the reconciliation...
those who receive abundance of grace
and of the gift of righteousness
will reign in life
through the One,
Jesus Christ.
~ Romans 3:21,22,23,24b,25,26;5:1-10,17
The blood of Jesus Christ,
His Son,
cleanses us
from all sin.
~ I John 1:7
They have washed their robes
and made them white
in the Blood of the Lamb.
~ Revelation 7:14
But Christ came as High Priest ...
with His own blood
He entered the Most Holy Place
once
for all,
having obtained eternal redemption...
how much more shall the Blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit
offered Himself without spot to God,
cleanse your conscience from dead works
to serve the living God?...
And for this reason
He is the Mediator of the new covenant,
by means of death...
that those who are called
may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance...
without shedding of blood
there is no remission...
For Christ...
has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
And as it is appointed for men to die once,
but after this the judgment,
so Christ was offered once
to bear the sins of many.
To those who eagerly wait for Him
He will appear a second time,
apart from sin,
for salvation...
Therefore, brethren,
having boldness to enter the Holiest by the Blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way which He consecrated for us,
through the veil,
that is, His flesh,
and having a High Priest over the house of God,
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience
and our bodies washed with pure water...
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven,
to God the Judge of all,
to the spirits of just men made perfect,
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,
and to the blood of sprinkling
that speaks better things than that of Abel...
Now may the God of peace
who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead,
that great Shepherd of the sheep,
through the Blood of the everlasting covenant,
make you complete in every good work to do His will,
working in you
what is well pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ,
to Whom be glory forever and ever.
Amen.
Hebrews 9:11,12,14,15,22,24,26,27-28;10:19-22;12:22-24;13:20-21
His blood be on us
and on our children.
~ Matthew 27:25
