Laminaria: Removing them to stop a later (D & E) abortion

Small dilating sticks, called laminaria or Dilapan, may be placed in the cervix in preparation for a D & E abortion Laminaria are thin sticks made from a special seaweed material that widen as they absorb moisture from the mother's body. Dilapan are synthetic sticks that work in the same way.

Laminaria are inserted into the cervix of a pregnant woman in preparation to kill her second or third trimester baby by Dilitation & Extraction (dismemberment) abortion. (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us_y9GP_-DA for a good explanation of the process of a D & E abortion) The reason the mother's cervix has to be dilated is so that the abortionist can get inside her uterus with forceps to pull her well-formed baby's body apart, piece by piece. The child is normally not dead. (An abortion is usually performed on living infants and are meant to kill them.) The little baby boy or girl is alive. The infant is not given any anesthetic.

Laminaria are sticks of compact seaweed which act like a sponge, absorbing the fluid in the mother's body, slowly expand her cervix. They are normally left in place 1-2 days, depending upon how big her baby is and how far they have to open her cervix.

Yesterday we met a woman at the abortuary who had 3 laminaria instilled in her cervix 24 hours prior. She was 18 weeks pregnant. This woman was told by the abortuary staff that once the laminaria were inserted she had to complete the abortion. The reason they gave was that her cervix would be soft and she would not be able to carry the baby to term. We brought this woman to a local ER and the laminaria were safely removed by the attending physician.

Women who have started a later abortion procedure CAN have the laminaria removed. The laminaria merely serves to dilate the cervix. It does not harm the infant in the womb. The removal of the laminaria can, however, stimulate contractions and/or result in tearing of the amniotic sac. PRAY for safe removal of the laminaria when helping a mother have them removed.

Warning: If the hospital does not do abortions they will not be comfortable handling a situation like this. If possible, accompany the mother and act as an advocate for her and her baby. PRAY for the Lord's help through every part of this process. First, respectfully ask the mother to insist that the doctor have her mother's medical records faxed from the abortuary immediately. With the mother's permission you can speak to the doctor and nurses regarding this as well. The attending physician NEEDS to read the mother's chart and determine exactly what procedure(s) their patient has undergone. They also need to know how many laminaria have been inserted. You may also have to gently but firmly insist that the mother request for the doctor to remove the laminaria.

If possible, seek out good obstetricians in your area AHEAD OF TIME. Find a doctor who is willing to see a mother who wants to have laminaria removed on an emergency basis, and who will remove them.

LAMINARIA NEEDS TO BE REMOVED asap to reverse the abortion process.

Read another story of a heroic reversal of a 20 week abortion by laminaria removal: http://sidewalkcounseling.com/blog/?p=39In conclusion, remember, no matter what the situation with the mother, if laminaria has been inserted you CAN and MUST do everything in your power, with God's help, to save the life of that innocent child. Always refer the mother to a doctor or ER immediately. The mother and baby need good medical care! Jesus will give you the courage and faith and wisdom you need to be a holy help to mommies and their babies. Trust Him, PRAY fervently & ACT in defense of the innocent children being led to slaughter.

NOTE: If the woman has a vaginal infection, the laminaria can result in toxic shock syndrome. While trying to murder her baby a 21 year old Riverside, California woman named Edrica Goode, 21, died of TSS as a result of laminaria inserted at Planned Parenthood abortuary in Riverside, California.

An "eye for an eye", a "life for a life" & Abortion

Abortion and Exodus 21:22-25

“If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child
so that she gives birth prematurely,
yet there is no injury,
he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband may demand of him,
and he shall pay as the judges decide.
But if there is any further injury,
then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life,
eye for eye,
tooth for tooth,
hand for hand,
foot for foot,
burn for burn,
wound for wound,
bruise for bruise.”

~ Exodus 21:22-25

[*NOTE: In the King James Version & also ASV verse 22 says: “hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart”. The Hebrew word for the fruit/life in the mother's womb is: YELED. This word is elsewhere translated “child,” “boy,” “son,” or “young man.” It is the second-most-common Old Testament word for “child.” ]

Here is the situation: Two men are physically fighting and a pregnant woman somehow gets in the way of the brawl. One of the men accidentally strikes the pregnant woman. Perhaps the mother takes a blow to her abdomen or gets violently knocked down or something of that nature. This injury either causes the woman to go into premature labor or, if she is full term, perhaps she goes into full-term labor. Or, she may not deliver her baby for several months, but the infant may be found with some harm//defect/injury which they trace back to the accidental blow during the fisticuffs between the two men.If the baby is born prematurely, but there is no injury (to either child or mother), then the man is fined for the trouble he caused (v22). If there is injury to child or mother, then the man should receive the same kind of injury he caused, including “life for life” (vv 23-25). The Law of God is clear. If the baby is born dead or injured, the man should have inflicted on him the same harm he caused to the baby, even “life for life”! Anyone who was responsible for causing the death of that unborn baby should be punished the same as if he had murdered any other human being!

The precedent for this is set early on in scripture:

Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in His own image.
~ Genesis 9:6

A pre-born child's value is the same as the born child's life. We know this because the Word of God teaches us that our value is EXtrinsic, coming from OUTSIDE OURSELVES. Our being created in the image of Almighty God, who created us in His image and likeness. Our value is based on the value of God Himself!

So, if the penalty for killing a pre-born baby by accident is "eye for an eye" and "life for life", how much more would the degree of sin and degree of penalty be for someone who willfully, purposefully, premeditately sheds the blood of their innocent child in the womb? Surely the prophecy of God in Revelation 21:8 is true:

All murderers will have their part in the lake of fire!

The greatest authority for all matters of life and godliness is God Himself! He is the One who designs, creates, sustains and rules over every person, including the precious child in the womb. Each person is made by God in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26:Jeremiah 1:5:Psalm 139). May God use YOU to speak these truths in love to abortion-bound mothers, fathers and their companions, as well as those who work at the killing places. The commandment of the LORD is clear: "YOU SHALL NOT MURDER". Warn every man and woman to repent, urging them to confess and forsake their evil plan to murder their baby and to cast themselves of the mercy of Jesus Christ, who is mighty to save both from the penalty and the power of sin.

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone,
able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.
God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil,
after being captured by him to do his will.
~ II Timothy 2:24-26

Here are some other scriptures to ponder about human life in the womb:
  • They are “children” or “sons” in the womb – Genesis 25:21,22; 2 Kings 19:3; Ruth 1:11
  • A “male child” or “boy” is conceived – Job 3:3
  • It is an “infant” – Job 3:16
  • It’s a “baby” in the mother’s womb – Luke 1:41,44

A clinic worker's testimony

Baby Rowan, born alive at 22 weeks gestation after an induction of labor abortion at EPOC abortuary in Orlando April 2, 2005

"I saw a lot of babies born alive … Dr. X said that was a side effect of a medication. They always said to leave the baby alone, and they would stop breathing … Two hours was the longest I saw a baby live … One girl was 26-27 weeks …

Little Mary, murdered at Orlando Women's Center November 5, 1999 21-22 weeks gestation

They put the babies in red biohazard bags when they were still moving … tied the bag up … put them in a biohazard box. The biohazard medical service would pick boxes up Monday and Thursday.
Dr. X would insert the medication and send the women home. They were told to come back the next day.

Human children treated as garbage in America.

There was one incident where the woman had the baby while she was waiting at the door for the clinic to open. She got there at 7 a.m. The clinic opened at 8 a.m. She said the baby was born alive. The baby was now dead, and she was holding the baby in a bag. She was bleeding.
I was in the room when Dr. X gave the digoxin to stop that baby’s heartbeat beforehand. [Digoxin is a medication inserted by needle through a mother's abdomen into a baby's heart to cause instant cardiac arrest.]
Well, he didn’t have an ultrasound machine that day. He inserted the needle blindly. He said he’d been doing it so many years, he knew the location. But he didn’t actually know if he hit the heart.

I know this nurse – Bridget. She was working there when the new doctor held a baby under water in a bucket when she told him the baby was alive. That baby was between 25-26 weeks. Bridget left two months ago because of that.

I left because I got tired of everything going on and the fact Dr. X would coach women into saying they were going to kill themselves if they didn’t abort. Then he said he had a legal right to do it past viability. He did them all the way to 40 weeks."

What do I say when people ask "What is your purpose in holding that graphic sign?"

Recently we have been taking the CHOICE sign out when we go out to preach. Sometimes I am approached by someone who wants to know what I think is going to be accomplished by holding the sign of a dismembered child. Here is my answer:

My desire us that seeing this poor little baby would elicit or provoke the response of mercy in your soul. Jesus said: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."

Did you know that Psalm 127:3 declares: "Children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is His reward"? This little baby, whom I have named 'Annie', was a gift to her mother & father.

The Bible tells us that we are created in the image & likeness of God. The value of every human being, including those people who are in the womb, comes from the Lord Himself. Annie had extrinsic value, just like you & me.

Did you know that God said: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you"? (Jeremiah 1:5) The Lord designed you, He created you. The same is true of every child in the womb. No one is a 'mistake'. No baby in the womb is a 'accident'. The timing of Annie's conception, & the timing of every little pre-born infant, is perfect.

The sixth commandment of God is: "You shall not murder". As you can see, abortion is a murderous act of violence against a helpless, innocent person. In His love for children, & for justice, God commands that we not only have nothing to do with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather that we expose evil. This true photo of Annie exposes the wicked reality of child-murder.

Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor as we love ourself & to esteem others more highly than yourself. Won't you have mercy on the children & love & esteem them as you love & esteem yourself & those who are precious to you? In Proverbs 24:11 the Holy Spirit admonishes us to "Deliver those who are drawn toward death, & hold back those stumbling to the slaughter." The Savior taught us that it is religious hypocrisy to walk by on the other side of the road when you are aware someone nearby is dying. Won't you rescue the perishing in the Name of Christ?

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

I am often able to educate people about adoption & transition right to the Law of God & the gospel of grace.

I have utmost confidence in the power of the Law of God & the Word of God to convince & convict both sinner & saint. It is our ablest auxiliary in the pursuit of love & protection of the little ones. There is no need to be defensive or fearful. Speak plainly: "It is written". The truth speaks loud & clear, through both the photograph of what abortion (is & what abortion does) to a dear child & through the scriptures, which reveal the sanctity of human life & the sin of murder & apathy.

It is my sincere hope that many of you would prayerfully consider obtaining a graphic sign & carry it out with you when men preach in the street, at campuses, parks, beaches, festivals, sports events, etc. If you have no one who will preach, simply grab some tracts & stand with the sign & watch God bring opportunities for you to share the gospel of life & eternity!

How God's Commandments protect innocent children

This precious little baby was murdered by abortion. Her mother brought her to a place so that she could have her killed. Since as many as 80% of the women who murder their babies profess to be a part of the visible church of Jesus Christ, must must wonder, did anyone tell this baby's mother "God says: 'You shall not murder"'? Would those in her church tell her that God forbids the shedding of innocent blood? Even if she went to a crisis pregnancy center, would she have heard the four words of the commandment: 'You shall not murder'?

God has given His Law out of His kindness and yet, so few professing Christians are willing to share them. RC Sproul explains the threefold use of the Law:

The first purpose of the Law is to be a mirror... [It] reflects and mirrors the perfect righteousness of God. ..The law illumines human sinfulness. Augustine wrote, “The Law orders, that we, after attempting to do what is ordered, and so feeling our weakness under the Law, may learn to implore the help of grace.”...The Law acts as a severe schoolmaster who drives us to Christ.

A second purpose for the Law is the restraint of evil. The law, in and of itself, cannot change human hearts. It can, however, serve to protect the righteous from the unjust. Calvin says this purpose is “by means of its fearful denunciations and the consequent dread of punishment, to curb those who, unless forced, have no regard for rectitude and justice.” The law allows for a limited measure of justice on this earth, until the last judgment is realized.

The third purpose of the Law is to reveal what is pleasing to God. As born-again children of God, the law enlightens us as to what is pleasing to our Father, whom we seek to serve. The Christian delights in the law as God Himself delights in it. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). This is the highest function of the Law, to serve as an instrument for the people of God to give Him honor and glory.

By studying or meditating on the law of God, we attend the school of righteousness. We learn what pleases God and what offends Him. The moral law that God reveals in Scripture is always binding upon us.
(Excerpted from: http://www.monergism.com/thethreshold/articles/onsite/sproul/threefold_law.html)

I want to focus on the second use of the Law: the restraint of evil. This is often referred to as the 'civil use' of the commandments. Who doesn't want to RESTRAIN EVIL? Christians, most of all, should want to promote God's glory and because of the love for our neighbor, protect them from the wicked. The Holy Spirit declares: "O you who love the LORD, hate evil! ...The fear of the LORD is to hate evil" (Psalm 97:10;Proverbs 8:13) If the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, what is preventing us from sharing the Law of God, which RESTRAINS EVIL?

David VanDrunen writes about the second use of the Law of God:

Of the three uses of the law, the so-called “civil” use may strike us as the least interesting theologically. It involves no inward transformation of the heart or Spirit-wrought righteousness that is pleasing in God’s sight. By this use, the Law restrains the sinful excesses of sinners through the fear of shame and punishment, promoting an external obedience to moral standards and a measure of peace in society...
Matched against her two sisters, it is true, the civil use of the law has less curb appeal. Yet a few moments’ reflection quickly reveals the folly of underestimating its importance...The civil use may not directly involve the bestowal of saving blessings in Christ, but God wonderfully gives it an indirect role in promoting gospel proclamation and saving sinners.

In this article, I explore this civil use of the law and God’s generosity in restraining unrighteousness in the world. To do so, I first discuss how the civil use operates in bringing sinners to know and (externally) obey God’s law...

How the Civil Use Works: Common Grace and Natural Law

The pedagogical and didactic uses of the law involve the special saving operation of the Holy Spirit in the elect. In the former, the Spirit brings sinners to a true appreciation of their sin and illumines them to see the gospel as the answer to their miserable plight. In the latter, the Spirit utilizes the law to direct the life of redeemed saints whom He is sanctifying. Things work differently with the civil use. The civil use involves the Spirit’s work of common grace.

Common grace refers to general, non-saving blessings that God gives to all sorts of people. Believers and unbelievers alike share them in “common.” Perhaps the most familiar biblical verse describing common grace is Matthew 5:45, which says that God “makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” The civil use of the Law is a work of common grace because it does not involve God’s special saving work among His elect. In its civil use, the law checks and bridles sinners from giving full vent to their sinful desires. It should be apparent, then, that the civil use is primarily for unbelievers. Though they do not render pure obedience, stemming from true faith and a desire for God’s glory, they very often render external obedience in response to the restraining force of the law. But we also see the civil use of the law at work in believers. At times we Christians refrain from doing evil only because we are afraid of getting caught and suffering for it, instead of from faith-inspired love of the good. This too is a common grace of God, for it’s better to refrain from evil for the wrong reasons than to do it. But Romans 13:5, for example, shows us a better way: “one must be in subjection..., not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.”

The idea of natural law is also important for understanding how the civil use works. Natural law refers to God’s revelation of His moral will in the created order as apprehended through the human conscience (Rom. 1:18–32; 2:14–15). It is true that God’s law as revealed in Scripture can also serve the civil use. Some people, without coming to true faith, hear the Scriptures and try to conform to its commands, driven by a general fear of God’s anger, social pressure, or the like. But most non-Christians do not read the Bible or listen to sermons. Their knowledge of God’s law comes primarily — or entirely — from the natural law. The natural law is God’s Law, and through its testimony to His will and His coming judgment it often serves to restrain wickedness and to work much external good in society.

The creation and enforcement of human laws supplement this work of natural law. Human laws that forbid bad behavior and threaten to punish it by the point of the sword can serve to restrain wickedness in particularly effective ways. This too is the work of God’s common grace...

The civil use of the law is a gift of God that should not be despised. Through it God permits His people, to varying degrees, to live “a peaceful and quiet life” (1 Tim. 2:2). Even more importantly, through keeping order and protecting basic liberties, it allows the church to gather peacefully and to carry out its mission...

Thank God for this common blessing of the law’s civil use. .. pray for its continuation.

(Excerpted from Restraining Sin: The Civil Use of the Law

Let us be faithful to use the moral Law of God in promoting obedience to the command to sexual purity and to protect infants from murder by their own mothers. The second use of the Law RESTRAINS evil. May we be faithful to preach, teach and counsel with the commandments which prohibit fornication and murder, that sinners might fear the Lord's holy wrath, both now and at the Judgment. It is my prayer that God would be pleased to use the preaching, teaching and counseling of His 6th and 7th commandments to stigmatize sexual immorality and the murder of children by abortion and bring great shame to anyone who has committed, or helped someone else commit, these great evils.

'So shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth;
it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.'

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away.
~ Jesus in Matthew 24:35

Let My teaching fall like rain and My Words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
~ Deuteronomy 32:2

But this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at My Word.
~ Isaiah 66:2

Cry aloud; do not hold back;
lift up your voice like a trumpet;

to the house of Jacob their sins.

Which of these three ... describes YOU?

This is 'Little Mary'.
She was murdered at 1103 Lucerne Terrace in Orlando on November 6, 1999 along with many other infants.

Jesus said: "Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy."
Matthew 5:7

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying,
"Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

He (Jesus) said to him (the lawyer),“What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

And he (the lawyer) answered, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.

And He (Jesus) said to him (the lawyer), “You have answered correctly; do thisand you will live.

But he (the lawyer), desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

Jesus replied,

“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denariic and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.

Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?”

He (the lawyer) said, “The one who showed him mercy.”

And Jesus said to him“You go, and do likewise.
Luke 10:25-37

Which of these three, do you think, describes YOU?
