What should you say to professing Christians who kill babies (or support someone who is killing/has killed) a baby by abortion

What should you say to professing Christians who kill babies (or support someone who is killing/has killed) a baby by abortion

August 7, 2013 at 6:18pm

Each year as we minister at the killing place we meet thousands of sexually immoral women (and men) who are murder their own precious little baby or helping someone kill their baby.
Many of them identify themselves as "Christians".
They say all sorts of religious things, such as:

"Jesus Christ is my Lord & my Savior"
"I love God."
"I go to church all the time."

"God forgives."

"I have already repented for what I'm about to do."
"I will repent afterward and I know God will forgive me."

"My pastor says all sin is the same."

"Jesus died on the Cross for sins like this"

"I am very close to God."
"Jesus knows my heart."

"God loves everybody".
"Jesus is always with me. He understands what I'm going through."

(By the way, religionists who tolerate the shedding of innocent blood also say these things.)

Even the abortionists, abortion clinic owners and staff often say they are Christians. We have seen the clinic workers with fish bumper stickers on their cars and "I
Here are some scriptures you can use with professing Christians when speaking with those professing Christians who are murdering their babies or supporting someone who is murdering babies. Since 85% of those who kill babies by abortion are fornicating (and many of their companions and the clinic workers are as well), I have included scriptures which address sexual immorality as well.
The Word (the Law & Testimony) of God is divine.
The Word of God is penetrating.
The Word of God is ALIVE.
The Word of God is THE single most effective key to addressing the human conscience.
The Word of God always hits the mark.
In other words;
It WORKS.

We have God's promises on that:

For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
~ Hebrews 4:12

So shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
~ Isaiah 55:11

Here are some of the scriptures you can use:

Don’t you know that the unrighteous
will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived:
neither the sexually immoral/fornicator, nor idolaters, nor adulterers…
will inherit the kingdom of God.…
~ I Corinthians 6:9,10

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable,
as for murderers, the sexually immoral...
their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur...
~ Revelation 21:8

The Law (God’s holy commandments) is not made for a righteous person,
but for those who are lawless and rebellious,
for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane...
for murderers and immoral men...
and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching...
I Timothy 1:9,10

How can God forgive you when you pray
if He does not hear you when you pray?

If one turns away his ear from hearing the Law,
even his prayer is an abomination.
~ Proverbs 28:9

If I regard iniquity in my heart,
the Lord will not hear me:
~ Psalm 66:18

Do not blame God for not listening to your prayers
if you are not listening to His call to obedience.
You will end up blaspheming God and accusing Him of negligence,
while all along you will be the culprit.
~ David Wilkerson

Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out My hand and no one regarded,
Because you disdained all My counsel,
And would have none of My rebuke,
I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
Then they will call on Me,

but I will not answer;
They will seek Me diligently,
but they will not find Me.
Because they hated knowledge.
And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
They would have none of My counsel
And despised My every rebuke.
Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
But whoever listens to Me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.
~ Proverbs 1:24-33

God's Law

You shall not murder.

~ Exodus 20:13;Deuteronomy 5:17;Matthew 5:21;

Flee fornication.

~ I Corinthians 6:18

Put to death...sexual immorality..
Colossians 3:5

avoid sexual immorality
I Thessalonians 4:3

...for God will judge...all the sexually immoral.
~ Hebrews 13:4

No murderer has eternal life in him.
~ I John 3:15

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
and the perverted mouth, I hate.
~ God
Proverbs 8:13

Whoever says “I know Him”
but does not keep His commandments is a LIAR
and the truth is not in him...
~ I John 2:4

By this we know that we have come to know Him,
if we keep His commandments
The one who says, "I have come to know Him,"
and does not keep His commandments,
is a liar,
and the truth is not in him;
but whoever keeps His Word,
in him the love of God has truly been perfected.
By this we know that we are in Him:
No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning.
(No one who continues to sin)
has either seen Him
or known Him.
~ I John 2:3-6

Little children, make sure no one deceives you;
the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;
the one who practices sin is of the devil;
for the devil has sinned from the beginning.
The Son of God appeared for this purpose,
to destroy the works of the devil.
No one who is born of God practices sin,
because His seed abides in him;
and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.
~ I John 3:7-9

You belong to your father, the devil,
and you want to carry out your father's desires.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
not holding to the truth,
for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language,
for he is a liar and the father of lies.

For there are many rebellious people,
full of meaningless talk and deception...
They claim to know God,
but by their actions they deny Him.
They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
~ Titus 1:10 & 16

Pointing to His disciples, Jesus said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
  • Matthew 12:49-50

Do not be deceived:
God is not mocked,
for whatever one sows,
that will he also reap.
For the one who sows to his own flesh
will from the flesh reap corruption,
but the one who sows to the Spirit
will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
~ Galatians 6:7-8

You will recognize them by their fruits
Are grapes gathered from thornbushes,
or figs from thistles?
So, every healthy tree bears good fruit,
but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

I Never Knew You

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!,’
will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord” ...And I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you;
depart from Me,
you workers of iniquity/lawlessness.’
Jesus
~ Matthew 7:16-23

Remember Esau!

“that there be no immoral
or godless person
like Esau..
who afterward,
when he desired to inherit the blessing,
he was rejected,
for he found no place to repent,
though he sought it with tears.
~ Hebrews 12:17

Remember Judas, the religious traitor of the Lord!

When Judas, who had betrayed Him,
saw that He had been condemned,
he felt remorse/changed his mind/repented himself/
and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying,
"I have sinned by betraying innocent blood."
And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed;
and he went away
and hanged himself.…
and falling headlong,
he burst open in the middle
and all his intestines gushed out.
~ Matthew 27:3,4,5;Acts 1:18

For the love of Christ constraineth us;
because we thus judge,
that if One died for all,
then were all dead:
And that He died for all,
that they which live
should not henceforth live unto themselves
but unto Him which died for them,
and rose again.
~ 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith.
~ II Corinthians 13:5

Repent & cast yourself at the feet of the Savior,
before it is too late!

What to say & what NOT to say when you minister at a killing place

"... they shall come and proclaim His righteousness to a people yet unborn"
~ Psalm 22:31
"... they shall come and proclaim His righteousness to a people yet unborn" ~ Psalm 22:31

Christians, may I make a few suggestions for those of you who go to the killing places to witness?

I know that you want the abortion-bound mothers to see you as a person of humility.
Humility is one thing, but servile fawning is another. Be humble.
By all means, be humble,
but also, be bold, assertive & confident when you speak to your neighbors at the abortuary.

Remember, you are a herald of the King of the universe.
You speak as one having authority
because You DO have authority.
God-ordained authority.
Jesus sent you to rescue the perishing!
Speak up, in Christ's Name,
& don't apologize!

Don't ASK the mothers:"Would you like one of our ministry packets?"
This gives them the option to say "No, thanks".
Don't give them a choice of whether to take your packet or not.
Be friendly & assertive.
Smile & say: "Here you go, this is for you!" or "Roll down your window, I've got a ministry packet for you" or "Stop. Take this beautiful book. It's my gift to you & your baby."

Don't ask"Will you come & talk to us just for a QUICK minute?"
or "Won't you stop & talk? It will only take 5 minutes"

Friends, the gospel is worth more than FIVE MINUTES. Hell is for eternity! And, for heaven's sake, don't say: "Please, give me just a few minutes. You can always still go inside for your appointment afterward." :/
Why give the woman the impression that you somehow respect the fact that she has an "appointment"? It's an appointment with DEATH, for heaven's sake. Do not act as if going inside is inevitable or worthy of considering.

Say"Stop. Let's talk. This is very important. We have a message from the Lord for you. This is a matter of life & death. It really is. Come on over." And, if you have the time, invite her (or them) out for coffee or a meal. "Let me take you out for coffee. I've got something very important to share with you. And, I want to hear what's going on with you."

Don't say: "God loves you" to abortion-bound mothers. Here's why:
http://sanctuaryministries.blogspot.com/2009/02/why-we-dont-say-god-loves-you-to.html

Don't say"We're not here to judge you. We're not here to condemn you." Why put negative thoughts in their head? (In John 7:24 Jesus commanded us to "judge righteous judgment". So, in point of fact, it is our positive DUTY as Christians to JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLY, especially in defense of the defenseless & in protecting & seeking justice for the weak & need orphans. Also, Jesus declares in John 3:18 that the unregenerate are "condemned already". But you don't need to respond with those scriptures, unless you are led by the Spirit to do so.) Get straight to the truth from the Word of the Lord about the sanctity of the little child in the womb. You have a message that is more precious than gold. Why be on the defensive? Speak the truth about her baby & the God who gave the child to her. Try saying: 'Psalm 127:3 says "Child are a gift from the Lord." Your baby is a gift from God Himself.' PLEASE, whenever you speak about the child in the womb, use words like 'dear baby', 'helpless little one', 'infant', 'innocent girl or boy', 'sweet son or daughter', 'precious child'.

Do not use the impersonal pronoun "it" when you are referring to the baby/babies in the womb. Do not say: "You don't have to kill it. You can give it up for adoption!"  You wouldn't call your wife, your husband, your friend or your born child 'it', because it would make them seem like an 'object', right? So, please, train yourself to use lovely words that humanize the infants in the womb. The poor orphans in the womb deserve the dignity of being spoken of with love & respect. It takes discipline to get out of the habit of using 'it', but, with practice, you will find that it will come natural to you to speak of the babies as precious human persons. I know that you can do it.

Do not refer to murdering a baby as a "choice", "option", "decision" or "right". According to the Lord, killing an innocent child is not an "option", it's a sin which God both abhors and forbids. Abortion is not a 'choice' to be made, it's a sin to be repented of. The words choice", "option", "decision" or "right" , neutralizes and sanitizes the violent, bloody evil sin of infant slaughter. Keep with the Word & you can never go wrong.

Technically speaking it is not correct to say "God has a plan for your child" if you are intimating that God's plan is for the child to not be aborted. His COMMAND is for the child not be murdered by abortion, but since He knows the end from the beginning, God already knows if the mom will have compassion on the child of her womb or have her infant slain. If you say; "God has a plan for your baby" & the mother goes ahead & dismembers the baby, she will be lead to conclude/believe that either; a) murdering her little one must have been God's 'plan'.
b) By murdering her baby she was able to thwart God's plan.

This is what the Word says:

For the LORD Almighty has purposed,
and who can thwart Him?
His hand is stretched out,
and who can turn it back?
~ Isaiah 14:27

I know that You can do all things,
and that no purpose of Yours
can be thwarted.
~ Job 42:2

Stick with the scriptures about the fact that God designed, created, sustains the child in the womb, about children being a blessing, reward, inheritance & gift, God's Law prohibiting murder/the shedding of innocent blood & the just punishment in hell of those who disobey His commandments & refuse to repent & trust Christ. God's Word is sufficient. God's Word is enough.

Be personal. Introduce yourself by name & ask:
"What's the biggest reason why you don't want to raise this baby?"

Listen for the answer. Then, by God's grace & wisdom, answer each of her reasons/justifications with a Word from the Lord, either a direct scripture or a biblical principle, whenever possible. Use the Law. Share the commandment, "You shall not murder" & ask what they think about it.

Do not give unsanctified/cheap grace.  We need to be very careful when presenting the Gospel. We want to avoid giving everyone the impression that the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross covers the sin of their sexual immorality & murder. DO NOT say "Jesus died for your sins!" Do not call out "Jesus died for you" or even "Jesus died for us". Why? Because they hear this falsehood all the time from American "Christianity". The truth is that if they do not respond rightly to the Gospel call in repentance & faith in Jesus Christ, then Jesus did not die for their sins. Many of the abortion-bound are already counting on cheap grace "Jesus died for your sins" as they fornicate & go in to murder their child. This sort of mindset discourges healthy fear of the Lord & encourages presumptuous sin! (They are wicked thinking: "Let us sin more that grace might abound!" & "Let us do evil that good might come!", which are addressed in Romans 3:8;6:1-2)

Jesus did not die for every sinner!
The Bible teaches that those who fornicate & murder will be cast into the lake of fire.
(Ephesians 5:5;
1 Corinthians 6:9
Revelation 21:8)
Christ only died for His sheep, His people, who repent & savingly trust in Him.
Jesus declared:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

Please, say something like:  "Jesus gave His life so that those people who turn from their sin & genuinely trust in Him will be saved from their sin & from the fires of hell. Today is the day of salvation. The Savior commands you to repent today, confess & forsake your sin now, or remain under His wrath & condemnation & perish. Be sure of this, unless you repent, you will perish. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fear God more than your circumstances. Fear Him who has the power to cast you, body & soul, into hell. Unless you are born-again, you will die in your sin & be cast into the lake of fire. Turn from your sin. Turn to Christ & live".

And, another thing, don't apologize for being forthright & assertive in confronting the lost moms & dads & their companions, clinic workers & abortionist. Do not act or speak as if lifting up your voice, using the truth horn, or for speaking with an amplifier is something you have to explain. If you are faithful to speak the law & gospel truth in love, you have no reason to be apologetic.

Just be honest, compassionate & loving.
Keep boldly inviting the abortion-bound women & men over to talk.
Speak the plain, God's honest truth & then allow the Spirit to send His Word deep down into their conscience. Speak with God's voice. Plead with the lost moms saying:

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Hebrews 3:15)

Message for Impenitent Sinners

Message for Impenitent Sinners

July 22, 2013 at 4:55pm

James 4:9,10

Grieve, mourn and wail.
Change your laughter to mourning
and your joy to gloom.

Let there be tears for what you have done.
Let there be sorrow and deep grief.
Let there be sadness instead of laughter,
and gloom instead of joy.

Be wretched and mourn and weep.
Let your laughter be turned to mourning
and your joy to gloom.

Be miserable and mourn and weep;
let your laughter be turned into mourning
and your joy to gloom.

Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord...

(New International Version, New Living Translation, English Standard Version, New American Standard Bible, King James Version)
The Lord will not refuse to comfort one who really mourns for sin,
or to exalt one who humbles himself before Him.~ Matthew Henry

Afflicting the soul is meant, an inward mourning and weeping over the plague of the heart,
the impurity of nature, and the various sins of life;
after a godly sort..
in an evangelical way,
looking to Jesus,
and being affected with the pardoning grace and love of God
in Christ.

Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness;
meaning their carnal joy, on account of their friendship with the world,
and their enjoyment of the things of it,
since they consumed them on their lusts,
and which betrayed enmity to God.
~ John Gill

Be afflicted—literally, "Endure misery," that is,
mourn over your wretchedness through sin.
Repent with deep sorrow
instead of your present laughter.
A blessed mourning.

~ Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners;
and purify your hearts, you double minded.
~ James 4:8

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before My eyes;
cease to do evil,
learn to do good;
seek justice,
correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
“Come now, let us reason together", says the LORD:
"though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
you shall eat the good of the land;
but if you refuse and rebel,
you shall be eaten by the sword;
for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
~ Isaiah 1:16-20

"Repent,
for the kingdom of heaven has come near...
Come to Me,
all you that labor and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you,
and learn of Me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and you shall find rest to your souls."
~ Matthew 4:17;11:28-29

What's the problem?

What's the problem?

July 22, 2013 at 11:10am

We have a problem here.
A very serious problem.

The problem is internal.
INSIDE our heart.
The solution must come from Someone outside ourselves.
Jesus Christ must change us from the INSIDE OUT.

The written Word of God,
inspired by God the Holy Spirit
spells out our greatest problem.

It is an internal problem.
And it's spelled:
S-I-N.

And there is only ONE SOLUTION, found in the person & work of Jesus Christ.

Hear the Word of the Lord:

1. Men are born in sin:
  • Psalm 51:5 - Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
  • Genesis 8:21 - the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth.”
  • Psalm 58:3 - The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies.
  • John 3:6 - “That which is born of the flesh is flesh”
2. As all men have sinned, they are slaves to sin:
  • John 8:34 - Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.”
  • Titus 3:3 - For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
  • Galatians 4:8-9 - Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?
  • Romans 6:6,16,17,19,20 - We know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey…? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed… For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
  • Romans 7:14 - For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.
3. The heart of sin is UNABLE and UNWILLING to do good. It is, in fact, HOSTILE to God:
  • John 3:20 - “For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
  • Romans 8:7-8 - For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God
  • Colossians 1:21 - And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds
  • Psalm 58:3 - The wicked are estranged from the womb;
  • Ephesians 2:12-13 - remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
  • Ephesians 2:3 - among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
  • Proverbs 15:9 - The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord
  • Proverbs 15:8 - The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord (c.f. Proverbs 21:27)
  • Proverbs 28:9 - If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
  • Isaiah 64:6 - We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.
  • Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please [God]
  • Romans 8:7-8 - Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
  • Psalm 10:4 - In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.”
  • John 3:20 - “For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
  • Isaiah 65:1 - “I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me.
  • Isaiah 64:7 - There is no one who calls upon Your Name, who rouses himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have made us melt in the hand of our iniquities.
  • Romans 3:10-12 - “no one seeks for God.”
Our only hope in life and death is salvation and the imputed righteousness of Christ!

Our message, to ourselves & to others remains the message of our Master:
 "You must be born-again!"

It's not about YOU

It's not about YOU

July 19, 2013 at 11:10am

The GOSPEL is a divine imperative
which reveals Jesus Christ
to guilty sinners
in a fallen world

What does the Bible say is the means
the Holy Spirit uses
to unveil the Savior
to proclaim His one way of salvation
and to elicit saving faith in sinners?
The Law and testimony of the Scriptures
regarding the Christ!

"To the Law and to the Testimony
if they speak not according to this Word,
it is because there is no light in them."
~ Isaiah 8:20
Romans 10:17 declares:
"Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the WORD of GOD.

Being nice, kind, loving, understanding, tolerant or "cool" are fine and dandy,
but they are not the instruments by which the Lord saves sinners.
You may get some glory out of being those things,
but our goal is not to make ourselves look good to sinners;
it is to make manifest the holiness and love of God in Jesus Christ.
Yes, we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselvesNo excuses.
Love is patient and kind. (Read I Cor 13:4-7)
But, real love may look very, very different from sentimental feelings and actions
which can, and often doserve as a counterfeit for genuine love for the others.
We may be tempted to make people feel good about themselves.
This "personal fulfillment" stuff can really be a trap.
(Remember how the serpent made Eve FEEL good about herself?)
We can fall into the devil's trap of tacitly (or overtly) APPROVING of the sin which God condemns as evil in His sight. And, lest we forget, that which is evil in God's sight is always bad for the person who commits the evil and for those who are affected by the evil.
For example, do you try and make sexually immoral people (heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual) feel good about themselves while they are IN THEIR SIN?
Do you try to make abortion-bound (or post-abortive) mothers feel good about themselves while they are still IN THEIR SIN?

That, my friends, is unbiblical behavior for a Christian.

Why?

Because your approval of the person who practices the sin,
serves to approve of the sin itself.
Listen to the warning of Romans 1:32
"Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death,
they not only continue to do these very things but also APPROVE of those who practice them."
Our greatest desire as followers of Jesus should be
to know Christ and to make Him known
Our highest aim in life is not to make friends,
it is to make disciples for Jesus.
Our greatest hope is NOT to give glory to ourselves
or to OTHERS.
Our life's goal should be to give glory to CHRIST
and to reveal His holy Person,
His perfect good work in His life, death and resurrection,
and His divine gospel ultimatum
to our friends, family and neighbors.
That, my friends, is REAL love.

Jesus said:
"The seed is the Word of God." (Luke 8:11)

We are the sowers.
His Word is the seed.
The love of God in and through the holy Person
suffering, perfect work,
and Blood of Jesus Christ
is far superior to ours.  (See John 3:16-21)

"Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God,
God dwells in him,
and he in God.
And we have known and believed the love that God has to us.
God is love;
and he that dwells in love
dwells in God,
and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as He is,
so are we in this world."
~ I John 4:15-17

Be prepared.
Although Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily,
living,
speaking,
teaching,
healing,
saving,
keeping,
raising,
all in PERFECT love:
"He was despised and rejected by men;
a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
and as One from whom men hide their faces
He was despised,
and we esteemed Him not."
~ Isaiah 53:3

Our goal as Christians is not to be popular with people.
It is not to gain a reputation for ourselves.
Jesus was despised and rejected by HIS OWN PEOPLE.
They spit in His beautiful face.
They pulled out His precious beard.
They cried out for His innocent blood!

And yet, beloved brethren, we can take heart

Listen to the Savior comforting promise:
"I have said these things to you,
that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation.
But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
~ John 16:33

And rejoice!

"But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings,
that you may also rejoice and be glad
when His glory is revealed."
~ I Peter 4:13

It's not about YOU.
It's not even primarily about THEM.
It's about HIM.

The beginning,
progress,
and strength of faith
is by hearing
But it is only hearing THE Word
Not YOUR WORDs.
Not even your 'LOVE'.
The beginning,
progress,
and strength of faith
is by hearing the seed of faith:

The Word of God.

Now, "Go" & sow some of that Good Seed,
for Life and Eternity

Satan's realm

If we go back to Genesis 3,
where we have the earliest mention of Satan-
we are shown the realm in which he works
and the central object of his attack.
That realm is religion
and that object is
the Word of God
~ AW Pink

The enemy will offer all kinds of counterfeit doctrines
that look good and sound OK—
false doctrines where the error is so carefully nuanced
it's hard to put your finger on what's wrong with it.
He will tempt you to set aside

what is precise
and carefully defined
in place of dumbed-down doctrinal formulas
that don't necessarily sound dangerous—
but are.
~ Phil Johnson

Are you snakebit?

There are all sorts of charming, seductive nice-sounding unbiblical notions being hawked out there
in modern Christendumb.

Don't fall for them!

They may sound all sweet & sentimental,
like little bunny rabbits,
but they're fanged with serpent's poison!

The Word of God & sound doctrine are the anti-venom!
Brethren,

Study to show yourself approved unto God,
a worker who has no need to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the Word of truth.

Be on guard! Don't sell out GOD!

By Patte Smith

A friend asked; "What is the sin that Christians struggle with the most?"
There were various answers. Lust and pride were at the top.
I responded that I believe that one of the greatest and most insidious sins that Christians struggle with are the twins of unbelief and idolatry.

The sins of unbelief and idolatry are often disguised as 'grace', 'kindness', 'compassion' and'Christian love'. They are expressed in the form of not trusting the perfect goodness of God, in Christ, His person, character, and His holy authoritative revelation of truth in His Law and Testimony. These sins are manifested when we are ashamed of Jesus and His Word and we defer to making the felt 'happiness' of man/or woman the center of all things. We profess to be Christians, but in practice we often follow, teach and promulgate HUMANISM (which is idolatry)when we are speaking, counseling and preaching.

Humanism's motto is 'homo mensura', Latin for “man the measure.” Humanism is the belief that man/woman is the measure of all things. Man/woman is the ultimate and they are their own autonomous norm. His/her REASON (thought process), not subservient to divine revelation, is the basis of 'ethics' (determination of what is right and wrong).

R.C. Sproul has taught and warned extensively on the insidious effect of humanism on and in the visible church, saying;

"...subjectivism is the inevitable consequence of making man the final arbiter of what is true. Without an objective, transcendent norm all we have are individual preferences to guide us. We must then ask, whose preferences will guide us?...

Only the Christian worldview, where God is the measure of all things, can preserve life and liberty.
Only those who believe that man is made in God’s image have grounds for attributing any kind of worth to humanity. Remember this as you engage other worldviews."

Many, if not most, churches and para-church 'ministries' (especially obvious in pro-life ministries)is the anthropocentric approach to counseling. While Christians should have a primarily theocentric/Christocentric approach, theistic humanism has become the 'norm'. Churches and their leadership see this in the ministries they prayerfully and financially support, but often give them a 'pass'. Why?

When you look at allegedly 'Christian' pregnancy center websites & materials, for instance, what stands out? What is their raison d'ĂȘtre ("reason for existence")? Is it not WOMEN and their 'happiness'? Where is God?

Humanist John Dewey concluded that "religion" tends to hinders the evolutionary progress of man.
Dr Sproul explains;

"The humanist dream is to rid the world of pain and suffering by the efforts of man, through education... principally through education."

If you read the websites of pregnancy centers, "education" about pregnancy "options", education about the methods of child-killing, and support and comfort for mothers who have already killed their children, do seem to be the priority. The emphasis appears to be ridding the woman of pain and suffering.  A careful scrutinization of the pregnancy center websites reveals little (to no) mention of the sanctity and well-being of the babies or any scriptural, biblical, God-centered message regarding His divine design, creation and rule over human life and salvation.

How can we Christians leave out the character of God & the person of Jesus Christ, which are the FOUNDATION of true ethics & values, when reaching out to any sinner, including abortion-vulnerable mothers and their innocent children?
That is NOT a theocentric/Christocentric Christian approach.
That is the humanist approach.
Humanists often have 'noble' ideals, but no foundation for them!

Why is the humanistic approach to 'ministry' often the predominant method for churches 'outreach' & 'missions' & para church ministries?
The reason is because the man/woman-centered approach is EMOTIONALLY attractive to our carnal nature. We all know that WE want to be self-centered and so, we have the tendency to want others to prefer themselves and have "self-esteem". True?

Many, if not most, religious institutions, movements and ministries in America have bought into theistic humanism hook, line & sinker. Sexual immorality is treated as if it is something to be respected as a person freedom. JI Packer observes:

"Nowadays some will maintain, in the name of humanism, that the “Puritan” sexual morality of the Bible is inimical to (tending to obstruct or harm) the attainment of true human maturity, and that a little more license makes for richer living. Of this ideology we would only say that the proper name for it is not humanism but brutism. Sexual laxity does not make your more human, but less so; it brutalizes you and tears your soul to pieces. The same is true wherever any of God’s commandments are disregarded. We are only living truly human lives just so far as we are laboring to keep God’s commandments; no further."

John MacArthur notes:

"In the process of striving to fulfill our needs and satisfy our desires, the church has slipped into a philosophy of “Christian humanism” that is flawed with self-love, self-esteem, self-fulfillment, and self-glory.  There appears to be scant concern about worshiping our glorious God on His terms...
Humanism is the philosophy that says humanity has unlimited potential.  Give people enough time and education, and they can solve any problem.  A stepsister to existentialism, humanism urges everyone to self-authenticate, to BE someone."

Duane Edward Spencer concurs:

"The doctrine of most “evangelical churches” today is the humanist theology…the exalted doctrine of man... given final polish by many religious psychologists of our time."

Just to be clear, James Fowler gives a concise outline defining the characteristics of humanism:

Humanism is a philosophical premise that includes such concepts as:

1.    Man is autonomous and independent

2.    Man is his own center of reference

1.    Man is self-generative and self-sufficient

2.    Man has the potential to do anything he sets his mind to

3.    Man is the cause of his own effects

4.    Man is the source of his own activity

5.    Man has a free-will to choose anything he desires – “sovereign will”

6.    Man is innately good

7.    Man is the subject and object of his own world

8.    Man is the solution to his own problems

9.    Man deserves to indulge his personal aspirations, personal gratifications, and personal reputation (cf. I Jn. 2:16)

10. Man is his own god
---

Sounds eerily familiar to what is espoused in Christian circles, ministries and 'missions' doesn't it?

A blogger named Jeff (no last name) nailed it;

"...humanism has permeated the Church. The disaster of humanism is that SELF became exalted in the very place it was supposed to be killed."

In his powerful sermon "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" Paris Reidheid gives a stunningly prophetic indictment of the church:

Humanism is a philosophical statement that declares the end of all being is the happiness of man. The reason for existence is man's happiness. Now according to humanism, salvation is simply a matter of getting all the happiness you can out of life...
And it is therefore up to the man to be happy, to become powerful, and become powerful by any means he can use. For it is only in this position of ascendancy (as we saw in the worship of Molech) that one can be happy. This would produce in due course a Hitler who...would say of his people that we are destined to rule the world. Therefore any means that we can use to achieve this is our salvation.

Somebody else turns around and says, "Well no, the end of being is happiness...happiness comes from sensual experience." So you would have the type of existentialism...the gross sensuality of our country. Since man is essentially a glandular animal who's highest moments of ecstasy come from the exercise of his glands, salvation is simply to find the most desirable way to gratify this part of a person...

John Dewey, then an American philosopher influencing education, was able to persuade the educators that there were no absolute standards. Children shouldn't be brought to any particular standard, that the end of education was simply to allow the child to express himself and expand on what he is and find his happiness in being what he wants to be. So we had cultural lawlessness, when every man could do as seemed right in his own eyes and we had no God to rule over us. The Bible had been discounted and disallowed and disproved according to what they said. God had been dethroned, He didn't exist, He had no personal relationship to individuals.

And so this became the effect of humanism, that the end of all being is the happiness of man...

The fundamentalists. They say, "We believe in the inspiration of the Bible! We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ! We believe in hell! We believe in heaven! We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ!" But remember the atmosphere is that of HUMANISM. And humanism says the chief end of being is the happiness of man. Humanism is like a miasma out of a pit, it just permeates everyplace. Humanism is like an infection, an epidemic, it just goes everywhere...

So it had gotten down to the place where salvation was nothing more than an assent to a scheme or a formula, and the end of this was that salvation was the happiness of man - because humanism has penetrated...

The liberal says the end of religion is to make man happy while he's alive, and the fundamentalist says the end of religion is to make man happy when he dies.

Humanism is, I believe, the most deadly and disastrous of all the philosophical stenches that's crept up through the grating over the pit of Hell. It has penetrated so much of our religion. AND IT IS IN UTTER AND TOTAL CONTRAST WITH CHRISTIANITY!...

THEY SELL OUT GOD! ...THIS IS THE BETRAYAL OF THE AGES!!!
And it is the betrayal in which we live. And I don't see HOW GOD CAN REVIVE IT! Until we come back to Christianity. As in DIRECT AND TOTAL CONTRAST WITH THE STENCHFUL HUMANISM that's perpetrated in our generation in the Name of Christ.

I'm afraid that it's become so subtle that it goes everywhere. What is it? In essence it's this! That this philosophical postulate that the end of all being is the happiness of man, has been sort of covered over with evangelical terms and Biblical doctrine until God reigns in heaven for the happiness of man, Jesus Christ was incarnate for the happiness of man, all the angels exist...Everything is for the happiness of man! AND I SUBMIT TO YOU THAT THIS IS UNCHRISTIAN!!!"

May we repent of our unbelief and idolatry of man and woman.
May we quit our anthropocentric approach to life and ministry.
May the glory of God be our goal
and may our love and desire for good for our neighbor come OUT of that goal.
May the Lord help us by His Spirit to believe,
maintain
and promote
the Truth,
that apart from the life and saving mercy of God in Christ,
which is communicated most perfectly
in the Law and Gospel ultimatum,
we will not,
indeed CANNOT
achieve lasting, eternal peace of mind, body and soul.

And Jesus said to all,
“If anyone would come after Me,
let him deny Himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
For whoever would save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world
and loses or forfeits himself?
For whoever is ashamed of Me and of My words,
of him will the Son of Man be ashamed
when He comes in His glory
and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels."
~ Luke 9:23-26
