Christ will never leave His Wife

Christ knew He would have to pay the dowry of His own blood for His redeemed Bride. He called this relationship the new covenant“This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My Blood (Luke 22:20). This is what Paul is referring to when he says that marriage is a great mystery: “I am saying that it refers to Christ and the Church.” Christ obtained the Church by His blood and formed a new covenant with her, an unbreakable “marriage.”

...marriage...exists for God’s glory...The highest meaning and the most ultimate purpose of marriage is to put the covenant relationship of Christ and His church on display...

Christ Will Never Leave His Wife

...“Till death do us part,” or, “As long as we both shall live” is the sacred covenant promise... Jesus made with His Bride when He died for her...Christ will never leave His wife. Ever... Christ keeps His covenant forever.

~ John PIper

My friends, if you have repented of sin and savingly believed upon the person and work of Christ, you are Betrothed to Him. You belong to Him. You are the Father's love-gift to His Son. You are the Beloved Bride of Messiah. He has paid for you with His Lifeblood. Christ has gone ahead to prepare a place for you, together with all of His people, in His Father's house. Be sure of this, Jesus is faithful. Be patient as you wait for your Husband to come for you. Believing that, while the way seems long and you long for His appearing, He will never leave His wife.

Now, beloved, go and live as if this is true.

"It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you." Joshua 1:5

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5

"In My Father's house are many mansions...I go to prepare a place for you."  ~ Jesus in John 14:2

"Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." ~ Jesus in Matthew 28:19
