No Empty Promises

No Empty Promises

August 12, 2013 at 9:04pm

A promise made
is a promise kept.

With God,
you can be sure all of His promises
will be kept.
Every. One. Of. Them.

His promises include both
promise of blessing
& threat of cursing.

Blessing
for those who are born again;
who have savingly repented of sin,
trusting & believing upon Jesus Christ.

Cursing
for those who will not repent of their sin
& cry out to the Savior
for mercy in His precious Blood.

For those who belong to Jesus by the new birth,
the Lord has given many great & precious promises,
such as;

“Come to Me,
all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls."
~ Matthew 11:28-29

For those who stubbornly REFUSE to humble themselves,
turn from their sin
& embrace the Son of God,
only a fearful expectation of judgment,
and a fury of eternal fire are promised.

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son.

But the fearful,
and unbelieving,
and the abominable,
and murderers,
and whoremongers,
and sorcerers,
and idolaters,
and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death."
~ Revelation 21:7-8

A promise made.
Is a promise kept.

God's promises of blessing are true.
God's promises of cursing are also true.
God's curse is not an empty threat.

Today, if you hear His voice,
do not harden your heart,
as in the Day of rebellion.
Repent! The kingdom of heaven is at hand!
Repent, & believe the gospel.
